ALDS - Yankees vs. Indians

The Indians will face the Yankees in the ALDS playoffs which begin on October 4th in Cleveland. Cleveland has lost the last six with the Yankees but this will not stop their optimism.

Eric Wedge, team manager, feels the Tribe is an improved team ready to face the Yankees in the playoffs. Maybe facing a tough team like the Yankees will really get the team psyched up for the Playoff Series.

My son claims that the Yankees would bring a sell out crowd in Cleveland even for an exhibition game. No doubt, this will be an exciting, emotional series. Hear that the Yankees have been resting Roger Clemens for the series, but the Tribe wins on team work not on overpaid players that the Yankees "buy" to be on their team.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Go Tribe........ from a 50 year Cleveland fan!!

Magic Number is 2

The excitement in my home town continues. If you don't have tickets to the game, either watch it at your favorite establishment or in the comfort of your home. It's kind of muggy outside anyway for September.

1954 was a long time ago, 2007 has got to be the Tribe's lucky year. Most Clevelanders have never seen a home team win it all. Like I said, this is the year.......

Need to watch my youngest play soccer...

Go Tribe!!!

Magic Number "3"

Now that the Magic Number is 3, things look more realistic every day for the Indians going to the Playoffs. What an interesting season this has been, with the ups and downs. Seems like since Kenny Lofton came back everything has been "golden." I personally miss seeing him steal as many bases as he did when he was a youngster!!

If you need any tickets for any of the weekend games, I have another new source to announce!!!

It is called Ticket Solutions.

Browns Upset Over Bengals

Sunday, September 16th was a very special day here in Cleveland. Our beloved Browns beat the Cincinnati Bengals 51-45. The game was full of excitement and our town now has rekindled the thoughts of a Division Title (at least one of these years!!). Gee, maybe we could even win the Trifecta Crown here in Cleveland. Nothing is impossible, look how the Browns turned things around in one short week.

I personally feel bad for Charlie Frye, everything always gets blamed on the "nice" guy. However, you can't deny the Browns looked phenomenal out there. The TV yesterday showed all the QB's since Bernie Kosar and there must've been 25 of them. Is Derek Anderson or Brady Quinn our next savior? Chad Anderson even went up into the Dawg Pound. What a fun day it was at the Cleveland Browns Stadium.

Unfortunately, today we had to hear about OJ Simpson and his new stupidities. My kids were toddlers when he got away with the "crime of the decade." My husband and I have been telling them about how it turned into a media circus, the white Bronco we all remember being escorted on the freeway and about the matching DNA that couldn't get him convicted. Hopefully this time they'll lock this guy up for good. Bet his estranged wife's parents are smiling now!! But, his kids who are probably in college must feel sadness as parents aren't supposed to be this way......

Ticket Sources

I keep finding new sources for Browns tickets and Indians Tickets that I want to pass on. When my family is looking for tickets, we usually browse each site and compare which tickets they have along with the prices. Sometimes the exact same seats are listed on two different sites at two very different prices. I took a look at ABC tickets and www.AwesomeSeating this morning and they are both good sources to take a look at for hard to find Cleveland Event Tickets.

I have found a personal favorite, that being the WebTicketStore . They include free FedEx delivery. This comes in really handy if you are somewhat organized (not like me, the procrastinator) and can plan ahead when you order your tickets. Also, if you want to give tickets as a gift, it's nice to be able to send them to the recipient free of charge.

Now that the Indians are hot, it's probably smart to order your Indians Tickets early. One thing about Cleveland is the great fans that support all their teams. My 16 year old son missed an 8th grade farewell dance a couple years ago to go to the Cavs Playoffs. My husband was lucky enough to win the playoff ticket lottery drawing at work. Funny thing, I chaperoned the dance, and parents brought TV's to watch the Cavs. Maybe this year if they end up in the playoffs again, the refs need to be brought in from Australia or England so they are impartial (but still speak English)!! Who can forget the heartbreak this past year over questionable calls by the refs?

Keep supporting your favorite Cleveland team. We have the best fans in the world!!!

Brady Quinn - "The New Kid in Town"

Brady Quinn will be the first Cleveland Sports Player I will feature in my blog. He is a welcome addition to the Browns. Brady is 22, hails from Dublin, Ohio (near Columbus) and recently graduated from Notre Dame (the Fighting Irish).

I found numerous sites entirely dedicated to him. From what I understand, he is a fine individual both on and off the football field. I have included links to these information packed sites!! They are also chock full of pictures of this very good looking guy!!

Cleveland Ticket Connection

Cleveland has the best fans in the nation. They have come to cheer their teams on no matter what kind of season the team is having. Cleveland is famous for the "Dawg Pound," LeBron, the Indians, Blossom Music Center and Playhouse Square. At Cleveland Events, one seldom finds an empty seat, that is unless it is in the middle of a blizzard!!

The Cavs have brought much excitement to Cleveland over the past two seasons, maybe next season will be the big one, its our turn. Now the Indians are sizzling hot.... we may even get into the playoffs without the Wild Card. The Browns are having a slow start, but Brady Quinn will bring the babes to the Stadium. It's so much fun living in Cleveland, since we have the best teams and fans in the Nation.

If you are a Cleveland native who is about half a century young, you have fond memories of Euclid Beach, Humphrey's Popcorn Balls and Hough Bakeries. Cleveland has been called "The Best Location in the Nation" because of its strategic location on Lake Erie. The Cleveland metropolitan area is dotted with large skyscrapers, sailboats enjoying Lake Erie, the West Side Market, Little Italy, the Metroparks, St. John's Cathedral, Ohio City and hundreds of other landmarks.

We have found some reputable web ticket suppliers who can get tickets to just about every event in Cleveland, including the sold out events.

The webTicketStore offers exclusive free FedEx delivery
